Un designer industriel am\u00e9ricain, William Gordon, a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d&rsquo;aller passer quelques mois aux Philippines via un organisme d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie du pays. Il a, durant son s\u00e9jour, fait le design d&rsquo;environ 175 objets\/meubles. une centaine ont \u00e9t\u00e9 retenus et sont entr\u00e9s dans le mode \u00abproduction\u00bb (fait \u00e0 la main par les philippins) dans diverses petites compagnies. <br \/>il raconte son p\u00e9riple \u00e0 l&rsquo;adresse un peu plus bas. c&rsquo;est surtout ses r\u00e9actions qui m&rsquo;ont touch\u00e9es. le genre de chose qu&rsquo;on lit rarement dans le monde du design. <br \/>il nous fait r\u00e9aliser que le design d&rsquo;un objet est directement reli\u00e9 \u00e0 son mode de production (ses photos le d\u00e9montrent bien). donc, le designer est responsable de son objet. lorsqu&rsquo;il connait la mani\u00e8re avec laquelle les choses se font, il est plus facile d&rsquo;apporter des changements \u00e0 son objet qui aura un impact direct sur la vie des gens qui doivent le faire.<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3536\/999\/1600\/philip_1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3536\/999\/320\/philip_1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><br \/>quelques extraits : <br \/>\u00ab What&rsquo;s important to remember though is that designers can affect the lives of the people who produce their products in very positive or very negative ways. That is why it is critical for designers to be involved with the factories that produce their products. I feel now that a designer is as much responsible for this as any other contributor, and should not escape blame when his or her product is made by children or in bad conditions.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab The fact is, people are still the key to manufacturing in the developing world. The reason we have cheap, high quality goods in our stores is not because of the triumph of computerized manufacturing, but rather because of the rise of the third world worker.
